  1. When there are several new patients booked in across many practitioners, to be able to select and highlight those new patients and do one command to print all their consent forms off at once, rather than going into each individual name and printing consent forms one at a time.

  2. There needs to be more tags in the email templates
    Especially needed are client DoB, NHI, claim number and DoI
    No point having tag for some but not all basic client information

  3. When scheduling an appointment it would be useful to have a prompt that appears when a condition is not attached to the appointment. This would alleviate the additional task of having to the use the 'Appointments without Conditions' report and needing to go back and update all of these appointments at a later time.

  4. I would like to explore the use of chrome books for our staff. We have 20 laptops in use each with Gensolve. Chrome books are faster, cheaper and reliable and would save our business money and time. At present Gensolve uses word and the office suite. Is there a way currently to use Google docs rather than word? If not is there any plan to have this functionality. We use Google docs and Drive for our management and intranet and I think our business would operate better again if we were able to use the chrome book.

    To update information since this suggestion was created, the reason the main desktop version of Gensolve cannot run on Chromebooks is because they do not have a Windows operating system.


    We are however in the final stages of development and testing for a brand new Web version of Gensolve which will be rolled out in the near future.  This version will include the ability to create medical notes for example and is aimed at full Clinician use.  It will be able to be accessed via any browser on any device so look out for communication on that in the coming months.

  5. When a new online booking is made, the clinician with whom the booking is made should be able to be notified by SMS. This is most useful, for example, when a booking is made overnight for early the next morning. The therapist may not know that they now have an early patient and may miss the appointment, leading to all sorts of problems.

    Gensolve has embarked on a project to redesign and rebuild our booking portal system from scratch with your suggestions as well as our own ideas in mind. 


    We have engaged with market leading UI/UX designers to inspire the redesign of the booking portal to ensure we bring you the best product possible.


    Some key improvements we have focused on include:

    • Improving usability and reducing clicks
    • Simplifying the pathway needed for a booking, including mandatory selection of modality (physio, chiro, exercise physio etc), location and type of appointment (new or follow up etc). If you don’t have more than one modality or location your clients are not presented with these choices.
    • Adding custom filters for your clinical staff, e.g. shoulder specialist, senior clinician, pilates instructor. These are custom filters input by you.
    • Client back end for managing appointments, payments and client details.
    • Geotargeting for the closest location to your client.

  6. A number of Gensolve clients work mainly with Contracts.
    They have Contract clients who have multiple Contracts using the same Contract number and often have the same Status.
    They are differentiated in the Contract Details by Purchase Order.
    However when creating the Contract appointment, there is no differentiation showing for the user, so they do not know which Contract to choose in the Contract drop down.
    This has been a very important issue for assessment.

  10. At present if you want to send the same letter to both a GP and a specialist you have to manually type the specialist details into the letter after printing it for a GP. It would be good if there was a drop down menu where you could choose who you are sending the letter to. The current system is inefficient and clunky when needing to send the same letter to more than one medical professional.

  11. Can we please have an email out notification of any upcoming releases? Helps if we can plan for any additional admin/IT support that staff may need when new releases occur and we can advise our IT support so that they are aware that IT issues may be Gensolve related? Thanks

  13. Messages remain in the "failed" folder and sometimes this goes undetected which delays important referrals. If we could please get a pop up message to say that it has failed that would be really helpful. This could be similar to the current pop up of "new healthlink message received".

  15. quite often client's no longer have a specific GP but rather go to anyone within a clinic. It would be great when creating a letter and specifically when creating a discharge report that we could select the clinic and not just the GP to self populate the letter.

To comply with the Australian Government's Information Privacy Principles (see Principle 4 of attached file- Storage and Security of Personal Information), the standards of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and the Australian Psychological Society's (APS) policies and procedures for confidential record keeping, a request is being made for a lock feature to be placed on any Clinical Note made in Gensolve.
    As the Clinical Notes often contain quite sensitive and confidential information, placing a lock feature on these notes would offer security that greater measures are being taken to safeguard this information. Our company would greatly appreciate if this feature…

Suggest a tickbox option to mark Medical Notes in the contract area as ‘Confidential’ – only those people with sufficient access rights would be able to view any notes marked as confidential, for example Psychologists may have access to all the notes whilst other providers only have limited access.
