One click button to send out email reminders for the whole practice for the next day (without having to do it on MailchimpP
SMS costs money so would be great if we could send out email reminders for all patients for the next day with just one click rather than having to do each individual patient

It would make things so much easier if an automated email would be sent out 24hrs before an appointment. Sure, people write their appointment down, but it's quite frustrating to hear a few times a week how they end up mixing up dates or lost their appointment card.

Is there any update on when this might happen? We could really do with being able to have a box that we can tick like for SMS that will auto generate a reminder email.

Hi Gensolve team. Would be great to have this feature available soon. We are just re-organising clients now that NZ COVID levels have changed. And would have been handy to bulk email a day's worth of booked clients with updates of what is happening. Other use cases: clinician illness or clinic closed due to natural disaster/terrorism and having to quickly notify clients and give more info than possible in SMS about re-booking. Thanks.

Woudl be great to be able to autoschedule reminders from Gensolve (rather than using Mailchimp which you have to pay a subscription for if you want to be able to do this). Using mailchimp is a pain because you have to keep uploading new patients to the database and it doesn't like it if you have double ups in there. Currently we are right clicking on the patient name and using a template but it means doing this on each patient in each clinician's diary which is time consuming and its easy to miss someone out. We're still currently having to do Covid Health Screens so need to send more info out than you can fit in an SMS.

We are using the new feature: right click on the appointment and send an email reminder. We have it set up to pre-fil appointment details. We also use this feature when an appointment is booked, it ensures people are aware of the appointment. Email template: Dear Louise,Your next appointment with Practitioner X is: Thursday, 22nd April at 2:00PM
Please confirm your attendance by return email.

Would also be great to be able to autoschedule email reminders like we do with SMS and as others have said, add the appointment to iCAL

Hi there. Can you update where this feature is at?
We are looking and sending an email reminder to all new clients with a link to a video. -

will this function allow client to auto add app to their calender ie ICAL?
clients spend a pit of time at the desk adding app where as an invite would stop that
thanks -
Hi Dimity, we have released the functionality as part of the update but we still need to live test it before we can roll out to all organisations. Will let you know soon when it is enabled for your org.

We have had requests for the email reminders to patients that interconnects to their phone calendar so that we send their reminder for their appointment and it can ask them if they want it to be booked into their diary and with one click it will be booked into their device. We have a patient who is a computer specialist and says this is a process which a few places are starting to use...

Hi Oscar, which release is this functionality now planned for?
cheers
Dimity -
Yes, It was planned for 5.3, but we had to move it to a future release due to other requirements.

Samuel Hutchins commented
Just wondering if this is still planned in the future? I see it has not been implemented in the 5.3 release.

Have the choice to either email or sms reminders to patients. So those patients who do not have cell phone coverage can receive their reminder. Also we have noticed that many patients tend to skim read sms messages but read emails. This has lead a number of misunderstandings about date, time or place of treatment.
