Allow patients to cancel or change their appointment if they need to online
When patients book on online, will there be an option in the future where patients can cancel or change their appointment if they need to. I know that the Osteopath software options allow this and it was bought up with me today and so just passing it on as a possible addition.

Gensolve has embarked on a project to redesign and rebuild our booking portal system from scratch with all of your suggestions as well as our own ideas in mind. We have engaged with market leading UI/UX designers to inspire the redesign of the booking portal to ensure we bring you the best product possible.
Some key improvements we have focused on include:
-Improving usability and reducing clicks
-Simplifying the pathway needed for a booking, including mandatory selection of modality (physio, chiro, exercise physio etc), location and type of appointment (new or follow up etc). If you don’t have more than one modality or location your clients are not presented with these choices.
-Adding custom filters for your clinical staff, e.g. shoulder specialist, senior clinician, pilates instructor. These are custom filters input by you.
-Client back end for managing appointments, payments and client details.
-Geotargeting for the closest location to your client.
-A more contemporary and streamlined look and feel. This is a short list of some inspired changes, although there are many more to look forward to.
Although we don’t have a release date locked in, the designs are now in development and becoming a physical version of a new product. We will continue to communicate with Gensolve customers as this product draws closer.

We urgently require the ability for patients to cancel their classes online rather than ringing reception. Can you please look at adding this asap.

Also keen to see where this is at . First suggested 3 years ago and alot of votes!. It is the single most time consuming thing for me a solo practitioner with no receptionist and especially with Covid and more cancellations than ever with people being sick.

Online Bookings Changes and Cancellation - We need an option for the patient to Cancel or Change a booking on line if they booked online.
Parameters to be set by Administrator - ie: permit online changes greater than 24 hrs in advance.

I get asked this all the time if clients can cancel on line and it comes up every year in my survey. Being an independent clinic with no formal receptionist (like a lot of small providers) this feature would save me a lot of admin time. Gensolve could look at the option of ticking a box to Opt In or Opt out of having this as an option. If a clinic isn't keen to have it then they don't have to. But for clinics like myself keen to Opt in this would be fantastic

Patients should be able to see and check what classes they are already booked into. Patients should then be able to cancel themselves from a class when their plans change. Clinic should have the ability to limit the time before a class that on-line cancellations can be made. e.g 4 hours or 24 hours.

Hi, I definitely believe that having this as an option for clients to cancel online is of benefit. This ability eases stresses on receptionists like myself to focus more on allocating clients in need when the space is made available. Practitioners have the ability to use the mobile app to check their calendar in advance.
1. Give an option to disable the feature.
2. If cancellation is within 24 hours of appointment, it must bring up a charge and take them to a payment screen for immediate online payment of the late cancellation fee.
3. Agreement with other users - A reason MUST be given, but don't give multiple choice, make it a text box requiring an explanation. -

No, please don't do this. If a patient wants to change / cancel they should have to phone the receptionist. Giving this amount of control to the patient will cause mayhem in the diary. Imagine someone goes online on Sunday night and cancels their early Monday morning appointment. There will be very cranky clinicians.
If this is done, here are 3 suggestions:
1. Give an option to disable the feature.
2. If cancellation is within 24 hours of appointment, it must bring up a charge and take them to a payment screen for immediate online payment of the late cancellation fee.
3. I agree with Andy - a reason MUST be given, but don't give multiple choice, make it a text box requiring an explanation. -

This feature would be ideal. If possible, a list of reasons for appointment cancellation (like those on the Gensolve Appointment tab) would also help. This should be a list of radio buttons patients can choose from.
