Data Protection and Security - Privacy - Lock screen
Data Security and Privacy
NZ Privacy Act 2020
NZ HIPC 2020 (Rule 5 and Rule 11)
Proposal - A quick key combination is introduced that will lock and blank the appointment page. A password is required to regain access.
Background. The NZ Privacy Act 2020 and the HIPC 2020 impose penalties on agencies and employers for breaches to either the Act or the Code.
An area of concern within GPM is the inability to 'blank' and lock the GPM appointment screen on demand.
To prevent the accidental release of Client Health Information, it is proposed that GPM programs a quick-key combination that will allow a user to immediately blank the appointment book page. This is necessary to protect data from unauthorised observation and/or release.

Whilst we don't currently have the ability to lock out the appointment screen with a passcode, we do have some features that provide added security in this area.
INACTIVITY TIME OUT
It is now possible to set an inactivity time out for particular users. This can be done via Administration -> System Users, click the pencil on the relevant user and then adjust the timeout for inactivity.HIDE CLIENT NAMES
Gensolve has the ability via the shortcut Ctrl+H to hide client names on the appointment book.MFA Two factor authentication
We have recently rolled out the ability to add two-factor authentication to a user's login.
